This is mostly a question but it could be used for ideas as well.
Basically is this Doctor a native of this universe/dimension? With this Captain Jack and Torchwood, as well as many other things, simply being counter parts to what we have known, thus native to Equestria, it would flow well that the Doctor also came from this universe (Gallopfrey I do believe). I think this would open up a lot of story ideas while also helping to distinguish this doctor from the others (Time Turner, Clockwork). I know the Doctor will only be popping in and out of episodes and this is the place for Jack and the rest of his crew to take up the mantles of being the heroes, but people will still compare. Just think of the fun that could be had if an enemy of the doctor from the 'human' dimension came through into Equestria (and from the trailer it would seem that is set to happen) and have the Doctor not know about them, yet they know about him. So much possibility.

The Doctor is indeed a native to the Equestrian dimension . As for human dimension characters showing up? Well, I have no plans at the moment (the Doctor Who villains of the Equestrian dimension are native to it), but your idea is intriguing .

What if The Operator's original masters were from the universes of Doctor Who and Torchwood that were televised? Is this a possibility? It could open up some good humor and references, maybe even allowing Lyra to learn more about humans.

Right now, I was having the aliens being non-human, with the ponyverse's version of Davros being one of them (perhaps as a corrupt member of said species).
